  • Scott Macon - President, Audiences

    As President of Audiences, Scott is responsible for the Audience Solutions & Insights divisions of Shopzilla Inc.  In this role, he directs the group’s operations and strategic direction – managing to profit and growth. Scott joined Shopzilla in 2004 to spearhead the company’s UK and continental European expansion. Initially launching BizRate Europe, Scott worked to rapidly establish the site as an innovator in European Shopping Search. Under his leadership, Shopzilla’s European sites reached profitability by 2006 and their presence grew from a single site and country to eleven different sites across the three key markets of UK, France, and Germany. In 2011, Scott was appointed to Chief Operating Officer of Shopzilla, Inc and made the move back to Santa Monica.

    Prior to Shopzilla, Scott was in charge of establishing Metaswitch Networks’ highly acclaimed communications software solutions in the European and US Markets. Preceding this, he founded Avondi, Europe’s first B2B barter exchanges. As Founder and CEO of Avondi, Scott led the company to a successful partnership and investment from SEAT Pagine Gialle, Europe’s largest yellow pages provider. Scott has also held management positions at DLJ Merchant Banking Partners where he sourced and evaluated potential investments in the technology and internet areas. Before joining DLJ’s Private Equity group, Scott was part of DLJ’s Investment Banking operations focusing on M&A and Corporate Finance. He began his career in Hong Kong working for Knight-Ridder Financial and IDC.

    Scott holds an MBA from the Wharton School of Business and graduated as a Dean’s Scholar from the University of Colorado, Boulder.

    A prolific traveler, Scott holds an appreciation for the myriad cultures which make up the 75-odd countries he’s visited around the world. He lives in Santa Monica with his wife Jodie and three children.

    Craig Teich brings 14 years of digital advertising experience to Connexity. Craig envisioned and helped to launch the Audience Solutions division of the company. Prior to joining the team, Craig worked for WildTangent for eight years, introducing several new display advertising models in the online gaming space. He has extensive experience working with marketers across verticals and has successfully implemented several award winning campaigns with major brands, including; Unilever, Coca-Cola, Turner Broadcasting, Sprint, Novartis, and P&G. Craig is a graduate of the University of Michigan and lives in New York City with his wife and two daughters. While his kids miss the gaming world, his wife couldn’t be happier about his new focus on retail!

    Hayley leads the ratings, research and insights departments of Connexity, a division of Shopzilla, Inc. Her work enables retailers to achieve their end goal of growing sales and consumer loyalty by facilitating dialogues with their customers and making them aware of the “why” in what consumers think and do. Hayley has over 20 years of experience in consumer insights, retail, online marketing and communications. Prior to joining Shopzilla, Hayley held leadership positions in growing online marketing companies such as LinkShare and 360i. She began her career with a strong foundation in store and catalog retail at Bloomingdales and J.Crew. Her background contributes to her ability to define consumer insights that are actionable and measurable for her retail clients today. Hayley is a member of the Shop.org content committee, and has presented at the Shop.org Summit Conference and Expo as well as Forrester’s Forum for eBusiness & Channel Strategy Professionals.  Hayley holds a BA from Tufts University and an MBA from The Anderson School at UCLA. Hayley, her husband and their two kids relocated from Montclair, NJ to Los Angeles in 2012. In 2013, the family rescued Gracie, a 4 year-old 95 pound Lab who loves to jump in the pool and is a proud Angelino.

    Dave was Co-founder and CEO of Connexity, an interactive advertising company specializing in Audience Discovery. Connexity was acquired by Shopzilla in February of 2014. Prior to Connexity, he was CEO of Celerus Diagnostics, an early stage medical device company specializing in rapid cancer diagnostics. In 2000, Dave was the founding CEO of Fastclick, an ad technology company that pioneered performance-based display advertising. Fastclick was acquired after its IPO in 2005 for $220M. Dave is also a Managing Partner with venture capital firm Persistence Partners. Dave is an engineer, entrepreneur and investor in the Internet, aerospace, healthcare and alternative transportation fields.

    Dean was co-founder and CTO of Connexity, a technology-focused interactive advertising company specializing in audience-centric real time bidding.  Through a managed risk development approach, Connexity was able to achieve significant scale in a highly cost-effective manner and with a very small team. Connexity was acquired by Shopzilla in February of 2014.  Prior to Connexity, Dean was President and COO of MillenWorks, a multidisciplinary engineering services firm focused on high risk, technology-centric products for defense, theme park, and automotive markets.  Under his leadership, MillenWorks enjoyed a decade of 40% year-over-year organic revenue growth while consistently improving operating margins.  Dean brings over 20 years of experience working in R&D and technology-rich product development.  Dean graduated cum laude from the University of California Santa Barbara, one of the first four nodes on the internet.  He lives in Camarillo with his wife and two daughters, and enjoys home improvement and outdoor adventure.

    Known by his coworkers and industry partners as “CPC”, Christopher is a decade-long veteran at Shopzilla – the parent company of Connexity. After spending over seven years building and overseeing Shopzilla’s traffic acquisition operation, he transitioned to become the Vice President of Product & Operations for Connexity. CPC brings a tremendous understanding of search and intent data to Connexity, and has worked extensively in the DSP, DMP, and ad exchange pipes of the Internet. On the product front, he has an insider’s expertise in the display space and has brought innovation to the Connexity suite for both onsite and offsite ad products. CPC is a Stanford graduate. He competes ferociously in basically every ball sport, is a father of two, and has never been caught wearing less than one article of clothing from Banana Republic.

    Working in digital marketing since 1998, Paul brings both brand and programmatic expertise to Connexity. Here Paul has been responsible for the rollout of Connexity, Shopzilla’s newest division providing Audience & Insight solutions to marketers. Prior to joining the company, Paul led marketing at OpenX where he gained significant B-to-B experience – repositioning the OpenX brand and increasing leads through marketing outreach, events and PR. Paul is also a veteran of Yahoo where he worked for eight years to grow revenue through compelling B-to-C partnerships with Fortune 500 brand and direct marketers. Through his career, Paul worked for a range of startups including, AdNectar, Meraki, and Yoyodyne. He holds an MBA from the Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University, where he also graduated on the Deans List with a BS.  Paul recently relocated to the digital coast with his partner and is enjoying all Southern California has to offer – hiking, skiing and time outdoors.
